The Marstin Timeline

In a nutshell

From 2018-2025, our business was our digital garden bed where we planted all kinds of seeds. Some grew into thriving plants, some never fully sprouted.

At its peak, Marstin was a boutique, full-service web agency supporting 30 active clients at a time. We provided complete web maintenance, content strategy and development, project management, and digital operations support. With a 100% referral-based client roster, we crafted a total of 90+ custom solutions over the years… and learned so much along the way.

April 2018

Marstin officially opens its digital doors. Focused on small businesses and nonprofits, our goal is to work from anywhere, collaborating with a variety of mission and heart-centered brands. With one Technical Director and one Creative Director, Kory and Abigail’s complementary skillsets allow them to act as a full-service, “mom-n-pop” web agency. From the beginning, we take a grassroots approach to marketing, supporting sustained growth for our clients, and letting our work speak for itself.

March 2020

The world is fully enveloped in COVID-19 mania, but in Taipei, we live a relatively normal life. As more businesses transition online, we are getting lots of new references, doing white-label work for larger agencies, and signing some of our biggest contracts to date. It’s a busy time for the Marstin Partners. As remote work is no longer considered strange, but a necessity, it’s a validating feeling that more customers to see the value in our work.

May 2022

Marstin continues to expand its client base and range of services through projects that entail everything from mobile apps to branding. Kory and Abigail almost move the business to Portugal, but decide this isn’t the right fit, diving deeper into optimizing hosting and maintenance services for better scalability and offering more in-depth, tailored customization for returning clients.

October 2023

Marstin continues to be a healthy and happy little web shop with nearly 100 web platforms and projects under our belt, but the Partners are getting a little restless. Kory is wanting to concentrate more on cybersecurity, and Abigail is feeling called to expand into new creative ventures. Can we reimagine the garden we’ve grown, to make room for new seeds to flourish?

March 2024

Marstin discontinues its hosting and maintenance services, helping 30 clients transition to new hosting providers. While Kory tests out new business ventures and Abigail spends more time making digital art, both partners continue to offer their services to existing clients on a project basis as usual.

September 2024

As the Partners continue to expand into new realms, it’s becoming clear that Marstin, as a brand, isn’t the right container for the offerings we want to provide.

We have loved doing this work, growing relationships with wonderful people and learning so much in the process of creating and maintaining a small but mighty fully-remote web agency… and we are infinitely grateful. But now it’s time to let Marstin go to rest, and focus our efforts into what’s most alive.

February 2025

Marstin officially sunsets in February of 2025, after nearly 6 years of ups, downs, and victories and growth.

Both Kory and Abigail continue to work with a handful of existing clients on an individual basis, and we hope these relationships will continue to sustain themselves towards the best outcomes for all. As our new ventures continue to grow, we remain available for web consulting for select projects.
